Warning: this show may contain Peanuts, puppies and delight.
If you’re one of those few people who opted against getting a lockdown dog, why not pat yourself on the back for having puddle free floors and intact furniture, and sit down to celebrate with twenty minutes of pure puppy joy and the world’s most beloved beagle.
We’ve had a few Peanuts treats since Apple TV+ became their new home, and this latest one is up to its long, fluffy ears in classic childhood comfort. Each episode of The Snoopy Show follows three separate stories as Woodstock, Snoopy and Charlie Brown go off on their little adventures, getting up to all sorts of fun like writing memoirs, building snowmen and school show-and-tell. We even get a couple of origin stories, like how Charlie came to adopt his best pup pal, and how Woodstock met them both after losing sight of his flock.
It’s all incredibly heart-warming and cosy. A lot of this is down to the fact that, unlike a lot of kids shows, the episodes aren’t trying to teach some lesson about stranger danger or eating your greens or paying your taxes. It’s just pure, unadulterated fun, perfect for parents pining for their youth and wee bairns alike.
Unfortunately, this show hasn’t had many reviews from the press, who are likely too busy writing about the next blood splattering, crime riddled watch from HBO. But here at Must we know how hard it is to find a fantastic family show that suits all ages, and if you’re asking us, a Snoopy series is just the ticket.
First shown February 2021. You can watch the trailer by pressing play on the show image, or by clicking here.
